Michael Jackson’s tribute kicked off with a heartfelt rendition of the singer’s soft melody. (7.7.09)

Modern pop icon, Michael Jackson, is pronounced dead today at the age of 50. Although Jackson’s music career hit its peak in the 80’s, his influence on music, and especially music videos, has persisted throughout.

Michael suffered a cardiac arrest earlier this afternoon at his Holmby Hills home and paramedics were unable to revive him. We’re told when paramedics arrived Jackson had no pulse and they never got a pulse back.

A source tells us Jackson was dead when paramedics arrived. A cardiologist at UCLA tells TMZ Jackson died of cardiac arrest.

Once at the hospital, the staff tried to resuscitate him but he was completely unresponsive.

A source inside the hospital told us there was “absolute chaos” after Jackson arrrived. People who were with the singer were screaming, “You’ve got to save him! You’ve got to save him!”

We’re told one of the staff members at Jackson’s home called 911.

LaToya ran in the hospital sobbing after Jackson was pronounced dead.

Michael is survived by three children: Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr., Paris Michael Katherine Jackson and Prince “Blanket” Michael Jackson II.”

The death of one of the world’s greatest pop stars is having a global impact. Jackson’s death is creating headlines like, “Michael Jackson Dies: Twitter Tributes Now 30% of Tweets” on the social media circuit.

This is the shocking news that was heard around the world just a few short hours ago. Michael Jackson definitely played a part in my life. He was very inspiring as I was growing up. His music, Great! His image, however, well you know.  I guess like many of us MJ was uniquely different & people had to get their talk on.  Michael Jackson had a rough life and in my eyes will always be a legend and a great influence on my musical backround!

That is why I decided to do this little tribute to Michael Jackson, in order to celebrate his death with a few of my favorite tunes.

Everyone who recognizes Great music should recognize him as one of the Greatest Artists Ever! Michael Jackson paved the way for many artists today in addition to inspiring many “regular” music lovers like myself.

Named the “Most Successful Entertainer of All Time” by the Guinness World Records, Michael Jackson is among the most highly acclaimed and influential artists in pop culture. He was named the World Music Award’s Best-Selling Pop Male Artist of the Millennium and received the American Music Award’s Artist of the Century Award. He has been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame twice: in 1997 as a member of the Jackson 5 and as a solo artist in 2001.

Let Michael Jacksons spirit & inspiration live on forever…

May Your Spirit Live On Through Your Music

REST IN PEACE

WE WILL MISS YOU MICHAEL

Theater Can Broaden Your Horizons

wheeeee_tiffiAs some of my friends will know, I spent many years involved in theater productions when I was younger.

I guess I can remember about 20 years back, the Consortium for the Arts Program every summer,

I really did Love being On that Stage.

This was a program for students in grades 6-12, in one of the three school districts below,

participate in an end-of-summer performance that they’ve worked on all summer to complete.

My first production with The Consortium For The Arts was The Wizard of Oz, in the summer of 1989. These annual productions were held, most years, at Norristown Area High School, Sometimes Plymouth Whitemarsh High School, or Upper Merion Area High School, in Pennsylvania, USA. Now I believe they only do their performances at

Upper Merion Area High School.

I think it is great that my 13-years younger sister Kelly was given the opportunity

to enjoy what this theater program has to offer also.

Being only 10 years old when I began; I had my “big role” as the little witch. This was because I was so short and I just “matched”

the “little person” that Popped Out Suddenly as Dorothy & the rest of the gang threw water on the Wicked Witch.

She Sounded, “Melting, melting, melting… As her now lightly sounding ploys for help in excaping were close to null. That is when…

My “HUGE” Starring role, I appeared from behind the Big Black Cauldron, dressed completely in Black (perfect matching my naturally brownish-black toned fluffy hair). Perfect.

My Mommom told me that The Wizard of Oz was the first movie she Ever saw in color – born 1928. Wizard of Oz premiered in mid-June, 1939

“The Witch” was not totally melted yet, in our production. Then the Cowardly Lion, Tin Man, & Scarecrow (the people who played those characters, of course; See Links, caught me, snagged me up eagerly, and quickly placed me back in the Witch’s (my …ha ha ha) cauldron.

Next, it was my young responsibility to preview a dark-haired Barbie Doll, “proving” to our audinece of family & friends, that the Wicked Witch Indeed Was Dead!

Traaa lala lala-la lala-la lala-la…

…Tra lala lala-la laaa laaaaa

I really did have a GREAT time during the 8 years I participated in The Consortium for the Arts and I am really Glad to know that a few of my acting buddies from years ago, are now The Only Reason That The Show Still Goes On…

And they now have their own non-profit organization called Theatre Horizon.

CHECK IT OUT …

The Day My World Crashed Down

  • Posted on June 20, 2009 at 2:57 pm

The events that happened on this evening, were a direct result

of prior events in my blogpostIs This a Sticky Situation.”

“I felt like my whole world came crashing down when I became

aware that my husband took our children. I had just told them

I would see them after I was out of the shower

(as I can still hear Kayla & Sierra saying “OK Mommy”

as they ran up the steps behind me).”

“Without my knowledge or permission, my soon-to-be ex-husband,

felt as though he could play the role of God and make the decision to remove my children from my custody.”

That cold-hearted man even went as far as to take them immediately

upon my return home from jail (where he put me & I sat in my own urine

for what could possibly be 6 hours).”

“My husband took the only living breathing beings that I Love, unconditionally,

and love me the same in return.  He ripped my own seedlings out from

underneath my wing, without as much as a warning.”

“And to add insult to injury, he didn’t so much as to allow me

to see, say good-bye, or to even hug my (then)

18 month old baby Savannah.”

These are the words that trickled out of my mouth as I lay curled up in my bed, drowning in what some would call

my own self-inflicted misery, during one of the last days I lived in my upper middle-class suburban family home. Some may call it “self-inflicted,” others like myself, would consider it “a set-up.”

See Article: How to Seek a Divorce and Win in One Easy Step

This Document can mostly explain what happened to me when my husband took a “pro-active approach”

in making sure his status in this divorce (still pending as of June 30, 2009) was positively in his favor.

My Idol ~ Mariah Carey

Mariah

Mariah Carey goes on the offensive in her new single – “Obsessed” – taking on Eminem among others. The track is the first off of her album “Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel” due out Aug. 25. That release date means this 12th studio album by Mariah Carey just makes the new Aug. 31 cut-off for Grammy Awards eligibility. Though Mariah has racked up 34 Grammy nominations (among female artists, second only to Aretha Franklin), she has managed only five wins. And none of those victories came in the top categories of album, record and song of the year. The singer has always prided herself on her songwriting abilities. In “Obsessed,” she wrote in a rap directed to Eminem, “Why are you so obsessed with me/ Boy I wanna know/ Lying that you’re sexing me/ When everybody knows/ It’s clear that you’re upset with me.” While Eminem has said that he and Mariah were one-time lovers, she repeatedly has denied his claim. On his new album “Relapse,” Eminem references Carey and her new husband, Nick Cannon, in a less-than-flattering light on the track “Bagpipes From Baghdad.” Over the years, Eminem has won nine Grammys, but lost both of his bids for album, and record of the year. As a songwriter, he has contended for song of the year only once. And he did not land a best new artist nod when he burst onto the music scene in 2000. Mariah Carey was named best new artist in 1990 for her self-titled debut album. And she won best pop vocal, female, that year. Then, though her follow-up albums all went platinum, there was a Grammy Awards drought until her smash hit “The Emancipation of Mimi.” Mariah went into the 2005 Grammys with eight nominations but left with only three wins, in the R&B genre – contemporary album, song (”We Belong Together”) and female vocal. The singer-songwriter lost the big prizes of album, record and song of the year to U2 and Green Day. And her 2008 follow-up – the critically acclaimed, chart-topping “E=MC2″ – did not have the right formula to win over Grammy voters. She was snubbed for that album as a whole and her historic No. 1 single, “Touch My Body,” was shockingly shut out as well. She picked up just a nod for her gospel collaboration on “I Understand.”

Not all of you know this but I was evicted from my own home due to a false Protection From Abuse (PFA-restraining order) order that was filed against my by my soon-to-be ex-husband. Falsly accussed of abusing HIM… Ha!

Now, as a result of a “currently withdrawn” PFA, I am a Work-at-Home Mom without two of the three things that are basically required for having that title…

My Children and My Home!

I would like to now quote a few things from a police report that was filed the day my husband was arrested for domestic violence in January of 2004.

“I was dispatched to the address in question. I was met by the victim, Tiffany. She stated that she just had an argument with her husband regarding possible adultery.”

– This was the statement that the police officer made after being dispatched to my upper-middle class suburban residence in January of 2004. My husband accused my of committing adultery. After denying and explaining my case, my husband did not believe. He then felt it was necessary to use physical force against me and show me “who is the man” in our relationship.

“Tiffany said that a fight ensued and her husband pushed her to the ground. While on the ground, her husband slapped her three times to the left side of her face with an open right hand.”

– This was the first time that my husband used physical force against me but it wasn’t going to be the last…

“Tiffany did have visible redness and swelling to the left side of her face. Tiffany also a small cut below her nose on the left side of her face. I checked the room where the assault occurred. There was furniture and other items thrown all around the room. It was apparent that some type of struggle took place in the bedroom. ”

– Given the visible abusive struggle, there was only a short round of discussion before the police asked me if I would testify in court had they arrested him. I immediately said yes because I have no place for that shit in my life.

“I spoke to the abuser at the house. He stated that he did have an argument with Tiffany and admitted to hitting her in the face. He said that Tiffany hit him first and he was only trying to protect himself. The abuser did have a small cut below his right eye. There were no other visible injuries.”

– Although I said yes to having him arrested on this cold winters day of January 2004, during 4 other occurrences where the police were dispatched to my house in the past 5 years, I would never again say yes again. But Why?

Now let me quote a little something from my journal that was written in June of 2008 (yes, just last year)…

“I HAVE DEPRESSIVE EPISODES REGULARLY & MORE OFTEN IN THE PAST FEW MONTHS. I CAN’T TELL WHEN AN EPISODE WILL OCCUR. DEPRESSIVE EPISODES MAKE ME CRY ALL THE TIME, FEEL HOPELESS, WORTHLESS, & EMPTY INSIDE. I CAN’T EAT, SLEEP, MAKE DECISIONS, CONCENTRATE OR REMEMBER MUCH AT ALL.”

Over the years, the emotional, psychological, and physical abuse that I received by my husband should be considered absolutely intolerable.

The unmistakenly upsetting FACT about all this is

Absolutely NOTHING can be done because I was

–Accused of abuse — Not Convicted — merely Accused–

But none-the-less

Everything I’ve ever known to be a part of my life

Was ripped away from me within 24 Hours!
